Gothenburg-based companies TYRI and The Techno Creatives in joint venture
– TYRI’s digital solutions will be the best in the industry
TYRI, a leading provider of lighting for work machinery, launched INTELLilight last year – an intelligent lighting system that opens up new possibilities for both users and installers. The digital platform that enables this system is highly complex and relatively new, requiring top-tier expertise. That’s why TYRI is now entering into a joint venture with The Techno Creatives, a leader in digital innovation. These two Gothenburg-based companies, both leaders in their respective industries, are now joining forces to create a digital work lighting system that will offer entirely new possibilities and improved safety within the lighting industry.
INTELLilight has been warmly received by the market. No switches in the cabin, no cables, no predefined lighting groups. For the end user, the ability to dim the lights and change the color temperature are particularly valuable features. The lighting system is built on a closed Bluetooth Mesh network, allowing control via an app – a solution that proved far more complex than TYRI initially anticipated.
“We are experts in lighting and lighting systems. When we decided to incorporate the Internet of Things into INTELLilight and make the system controllable via an app, we initially thought we could handle it ourselves. However, we quickly realized how incredibly complex and challenging it is to develop an app that does what we need – to control all the lighting while being very easy to use and understand. In our frustration, we got in touch with The Techno Creatives, and after discussions with them, we understood that solving this on our own was impossible. This led to a joint venture where we are now developing the world’s most user-friendly lighting control solution together. To make it even more challenging, we’re doing it on a tight timeline so our customers can quickly benefit from everything INTELLilight has to offer,” says Christian Wadell, Global Head of Research and Development at TYRI.
The Techno Creatives is a consultancy with expertise in developing digital services, products, and even companies. Their specialists in software, hardware, design, and strategy are never outsourced – they all work from the Gothenburg office, solving client challenges in small teams. A part of their business model includes entering into joint ventures. This model requires a much deeper commitment, involvement in every aspect of the system, and a constant focus on balancing customer value with commercial viability. TYRI was a perfect fit for this model – a highly complex and challenging project that sparked Techno’s drive to do it better than anyone else ever has.
“This project is definitely a challenge. The time aspect is exciting, and solving the technical hurdles requires us to think far outside conventional patterns. We’re highly motivated and working hard to meet the system’s requirements. With TYRI’s expertise in lighting and systems for work machinery, together we form an incredibly strong team. This collaboration is a real challenge for all of us, and that’s exactly when we have the opportunity to create something truly great,” says Martin Persson, Lead Strategist at The Techno Creatives.
INTELLilight is developed to create a flexible lighting solution that adapts to the operator’s needs and external conditions (such as dust or snow). The system can easily adjust brightness and color temperature in various combinations for optimal lighting. Additionally, lights can be grouped and regrouped without running a single extra cable. It’s a fully flexible lighting system controllable through sensors, a remote control, or an app.
