In warehouses, distribution centres, industrial yards, and ports, visibility is critical for both efficiency and safety. TYRI has over 50 years of experience developing OEM lighting solutions that meet the demands of forklifts, telehandlers, reach stackers, and other material handling equipment. From precision work lights to high-visibility warning lights, we design systems that help operators work safely and productively in even the most challenging environments.
TYRI Lighting in Material Handling
TYRI develops LED lighting systems engineered specifically for material handling:
Work Lights
TYRI work lights deliver bright, even illumination to pallets, shelves, and load zones without glare. With precision optics and rugged durability, they improve operator accuracy, reduce fatigue, and keep productivity high — even in tough warehouse conditions. Tested for vibration, dust, water, and EMC compliance, our lights perform reliably shift after shift.
Warning Lights
Safety is critical in busy warehouses. TYRI’s BluePoint and RedLine warning lights create clear visual signals that alert pedestrians to moving vehicles and hazardous zones. Built to withstand the rigours of material handling, these high-visibility solutions help reduce accidents and keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Custom Branding for BASEline
The BASEline S1, S1 Diffused, and S2 models can be customised with your company’s colours and logo, turning work lights into a visible part of your brand identity. This not only reinforces recognition in the field but also strengthens aftermarket loyalty, ensuring your machines stand out with a consistent, professional look.
Visual Warning Zones
The TYRI VL4 RedLine projects a bold red line or box around forklifts, creating a visible danger zone that keeps pedestrians at a safe distance. Compact and unobtrusive, it’s a simple yet highly effective way to enhance workplace safety.
Overhead Crane Safety
The TYRI 1010 BluePoint extends beyond forklifts, providing a powerful safety solution for overhead cranes. Mounted high above the floor, its intense spot beam projects a clear warning below, alerting workers to the crane’s movement and reducing accident risk in busy warehouses.
Streamlines Shelf Lighting
The sleek design of the TYRI VL4 integrates seamlessly into modern forklifts, providing precise, narrow illumination on shelving. Its streamlined housing complements machine aesthetics while delivering focused, reliable light exactly where operators need it.
Enhanced Safety & Operator Vision
Mitsubishi forklifts combine the TYRI VL4 work light with the 1010 BluePoint to create a striking design that boosts both safety and visibility. With this configuration, operators benefit from improved illumination when working with forks raised above cabin height.
Trusted by Hyster-Yale
For over a decade, TYRI has been recognised as a trusted lighting partner by Hyster-Yale Material Handling Group. Awards include multiple Supplier of the Year honours, certificates of merit, and recognition for aftermarket excellence. These regular awards are a testament to TYRI’s commitment to quality, reliability, and on-time delivery.
Special Design Solutions for Material Handling Lighting
Not every material handling application can be solved with standard lights. That’s why TYRI partners with leading forklift and equipment OEMs to develop innovative, custom lighting solutions that improve safety, visibility, and operator comfort across all working environments. Working directly with your engineering and design teams, TYRI ensures every light integrates seamlessly, both technically and visually, with your machinery.
From compact warehouse forklifts to heavy-duty container handlers, our lights are designed to meet the specific demands of each application. This collaborative approach has already delivered unique results for global OEMs such as Toyota and Hyster Yale Material Handling.

Lighting Challenges in Material Handling
Material handling machines operate in unique conditions where standard lighting is not enough. Operators and pedestrians face risks from:
- Low or artificial lighting in warehouses and loading bays.
 - Confined spaces and blind spots that increase collision risk.
 - Frequent reversing and manoeuvring in busy environments.
 - Glare and shadows that reduce operator comfort and visibility.
 - Long operational hours, requiring reliable, energy-efficient lighting.

Applications Across Material Handling Machinery
TYRI lighting is integrated into:
- Forklifts (electric and diesel)
 - Reach stackers
 - Container handlers
 - Order pickers
 - Telehandlers
 - Automated guided vehicles (AGVs)

TYRI Testing and Approvals for Material Handling
EMC EN55025 / CISPR 25
In warehouses filled with sensors, cameras, and wireless systems, interference is not an option. TYRI lights are tested to ensure they do not disrupt on-board electronics or radio-sensitive equipment.
Shock testing
Impacts from pallets, loads, or sudden jolts are part of daily operations. TYRI lights withstand up to 50G shock testing to ensure they keep working in demanding environments.
Vibration testing
Constant lifting, lowering, and driving over uneven floors creates strong vibrations. TYRI lights are tested for up to 8 hours on all axes to ensure they remain reliable in these conditions.
IP 69K
Forklifts and material handling vehicles often operate in dusty warehouses or outdoors in the rain. An IP 69K rating guarantees full protection against dust and high-pressure water ingress.
Environmental testing
Material handling machines may face extreme cold in freezers or high heat in outdoor yards. TYRI lights are tested from -40°C to +85°C and up to 90% humidity for dependable performance anywhere.
Salt spray testing
For machines used outdoors or in coastal or corrosive environments, TYRI lights are salt-spray tested to ASTM B117 standards, ensuring long-term durability.
Polarity / Overheating / Overvoltage Protection
Maintenance errors can happen. TYRI lights feature built-in protection against overheating, incorrect wiring, and power surges, safeguarding LEDs and preventing downtime.
