Closing the Loop: How TYRI UK Champions Recycling and Reuse

At TYRI UK, sustainability means managing resources responsibly to minimize waste. By implementing extensive recycling and reuse programs, we are taking significant steps toward building a circular economy. Reducing waste and reusing materials not only benefits the environment but also offers long-term cost efficiencies for our business.

Key Actions Toward Recycling and Reuse:

  • Local Recycling Initiatives: TYRI UK recycles materials like cardboard and polythene locally, helping to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. By partnering with a local recycling centre, we are supporting the local economy while lowering the transportation emissions associated with waste disposal.
  • Reuse of Packaging: In addition to recycling, TYRI UK reuses casting cardboard packaging for outgoing goods, cutting down on waste and the need for new materials. We also return plastic trays to our suppliers for reuse supporting a circular economy by extending the life cycle of materials.
  • Council Recycling Support: All dry mix recycling is handled through local council collections, ensuring that recyclable materials are processed efficiently and sustainably.
  • Measured Recycling Success: By recycling 78.72% of its waste TYRI UK has drastically reduced its waste output, significantly reducing its environmental impact. By diverting the majority of its waste from landfill, TYRI helps conserve natural resources, reduce pollution, and cut energy consumption associated with manufacturing new materials.

TYRI UK’s commitment to recycling and reuse is integral to our sustainability strategy. By minimizing waste and supporting a circular economy, we are not only protecting the environment but also driving cost efficiencies and promoting a more sustainable future.
