Do I need to create an account?
If you only want to control meshes, you do not need an account – simply ask someone who has access to the mesh for the share code and enter it by opening the navigation drawer and tapping “Add mesh” → “Access mesh using code”.
If you want to setup, edit, and manage meshes, you’ll need to create an account.
What is a mesh?
A mesh is a network of Bluetooth devices that you can control wirelessly. In this case, the mesh consists of your wirelessly connected INTELLilight products.
How do I add a mesh?
To set up a new mesh:
• Log in or create an account if you don’t have one
• Open the navigation drawer by tapping the menu icon in the upper left corner
• Tap “Add mesh”
• Type in a name for your mesh and tap “Setup”
• Follow the in-app instructions for adding devices
To add a mesh with a code:
• Open the navigation drawer by tapping the menu icon in the upper left corner
• Tap “Add mesh”
• Tap “Access mesh using code”
• Fill in the configuration code that you have received from someone that uses the mesh
How do I control my lights?
Controlling lights with the app:
Turn lights on and off by tapping the toggle button on the right side of a group or individual light.
By tapping on a group or light row, a bottom sheet drawer opens allowing you to choose colour temperature and brightness.
Controlling lights with the remote:
The remote allows you to control all lights at once, or individually control up to 4 groups of lights that can be set up in the app. The power button in the top left corner of the remote is used to control all lights.
Turning lights on/off:
• On: turn a group on by pressing the group button once.
• Off: turn a group off by pressing and holding the group button until the group turns off.
Examples:
• Turn all lights off by pressing and holding the power button.
• Turn on the “front” group by pressing the top group button once.
Changing colour temperature and brightness:
To affect the colour temperature or brightness of a group, first select the group you’d like to change by pressing its button once, then press the colour temperature or brightness buttons to set the lights accordingly.
Examples:
• Turn down the brightness of the “back” group by pressing the bottom group button once, then pressing the brightness down button until you reach your desired brightness.
• To affect all lights, press the power button once before changing brightness and colour temperature.
How do I share my mesh so others can use it?
- Select the mesh you want to share in the navigation drawer
- Tap the share icon in the top right of the navigation bar
Share the code that appears with the person you want to be able to control the mesh
How do I factory reset a device?
If a device is not responding even after trying the steps in “Why can’t I connect to my mesh”, it may need to be factory reset. Factory reset should be used as a last resort.
Factory Resetting a Light
- Open the navigation drawer in the upper left corner by clicking on the hamburger menu
- Tap “Support & Troubleshoot”
- Tap “Factory Reset”
- Choose “Light” as device you want to reset
- Enter the device ID that is found on the backside between the fins
- Tap “Search” button
- Once the light is found, confirm the reset by tapping “Factory Reset”
Factory Resetting a Remote
Open the navigation drawer in the upper left corner by clicking on the hamburger menu
- Tap “Support & Troubleshoot”
- Tap “Factory Reset”
- Choose “Remote” as device you want to reset
- Hold and press both brightness buttons at the same time. This will put the remote into configuration mode for 3 minutes.
- Enter the device ID that is found on the underside of the battery lid
- Tap “Search” button
- The app should find the remote and you confirm the reset by tapping “Factory Reset”
What phones and OS are supported by the INTELLilight® system?
iOS: An iPhone running iOS 15.0 and above is required.
Android 8.0 and up is supported, but due to the varying hardware it is hard to ensure compatibility with all devices.
Why can’t I connect to my mesh?
First, make sure the lights are powered on and nearby.
If you are still unable to connect, try the following one at a time:
- Turn your device’s Bluetooth off and then back on
- Close and reopen the INTELLilight app
- Restart your mobile device
Turn off power to your INTELLilight devices, then turn back on. This may mean turning off and restarting the vehicle they’re connected to.
Why can’t I find the light I am trying to add?
First, follow the steps in “Why can’t I connect to my mesh?”.
If you’re still unable to find the light, you might need to factory reset the light. See “How do I factory reset a device?”
Why can I not find a remote I am trying to add?
Make sure the remote is in configuration mode. Press and hold both brightness buttons at the same time. This will put the remote into configuration mode for 3 minutes.
If you still can’t find the remote, try disabling and re-enabling Bluetooth on your device. If the remote still doesn’t appear, you might need to factory reset it. See “How do I factory reset a device?”
How can I delete my account and all associated data?
- Open the navigation drawer in the upper left corner by clicking on the hamburger menu.
- Tap “Account”
- Tap “Delete the account and all related data”
