Powering a Greener Future: TYRI UK’s Journey Toward Carbon Reduction

TYRI UK is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and continuously improving its environmental practices. Recent initiatives across our operations demonstrate our dedication to sustainability, helping to reduce energy consumption and emissions while enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Actions Toward Carbon Reduction:

  • Renewable Electricity: a big step in our sustainability journey was switching to 100% renewable electricity sources to power our factory. This change aligns with our mission to reduce TYRI’s reliance on fossil fuels and lower our carbon footprint, while still meeting operational needs.
  • Electric Forklifts: TYRI UK has replaced its diesel forklift with an electric model, significantly cutting emissions and improving air quality in the workplace. Electric forklifts not only reduce carbon output but also lower long-term operating costs due to reduced fuel consumption.
  • Hybrid Company Cars: Our fleet of company cars has been updated to hybrid vehicles, ensuring that our sales and service teams can travel efficiently while reducing environmental impact. Hybrid cars also offer greater efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
  • Energy-Efficient Lighting: Inside our factory, we have installed LED lighting, which consumes less energy than traditional lighting solutions. We’ve also added natural light roof lights to reduce the need for artificial lighting during daylight hours. In areas lacking natural light motion-sensor lighting has been installed to ensure energy is not wasted lighting spaces unnecessarily. This all contributes to a more sustainable workplace.

With a focus on reducing energy consumption and emissions, TYRI UK is leading by example in sustainable innovation. We are committed to continually improving and setting new targets to further reduce our environmental impact.
